Musical Theatre Productions invites you to celebrate the end of our 2017-2018 season with the return of our very first, hilarious cabaret BROADWAY TO THE MAX

Originally mounted in 1992 to rave reviews, BROADWAY TO THE MAX returns to the Wave (formerly known as the Max) on Western campus with a dinner theatre experience that is not to be missed! Featuring memorable numbers from such musical theatre treasures as Dreamgirls, Les Miserables, Chess, and The Will Rogers Follies as well as newly updated showstoppers from some of Broadway’s recent hits like Something Rotten, Young Frankenstein, Waitress, The Producers, Spamalot, The Book of Mormon, and more, our hilarious and dazzling cast of singers, dancers and comedians will be sure to entertain audiences night after night with their sparking tribute to Broadway’s best. Prior to the show, patrons are invited to join us for a delicious three-course dinner served by the Wave with your choice of entrée. This culinary cabaret is available for only $48!

BROADWAY TO THE MAX runs June 20-23, 2018, at the Wave, University Community Centre (2nd Floor), Western University.  Seating is general admission at banquet tables with priority seating for dinner guests. A cash bar will be available as well.  

Doors and bar services open at 6:00pm for evening performances, with dinner service beginning at 6:30pm and the performance commencing at 8:00pm. Please note, dinner is not included in the 2:00pm matinee on Saturday June 23rd. For the matinee, doors open at 1:30pm, and appetizers and drinks will be available for purchase.

SPECIAL EVENTS

We are thrilled to announce that Kevin Bice will be the next recipient of MTP’s annual Lifetime Membership honour. Each year, the MTP board selects one individual whose support of MTP and contributions to the London community at large deserve recognition.

Kevin Bice is is a multi-talent theatre and visual artist, and a long-time member of the Musical Theatre Productions family. Kevin was one of the founding board members of London Musical Theatre (now Musical Theatre Productions) along with John Gerry, Art Fidler, Stephen and Deborah Mitchell, Art Ender, Don Fleckser and several other visionary members of the community. Over the years, Kevin fulfilled many production roles with MTP in addition to his years of service to the board, including set designer for numerous shows including our inaugural production Evita (1988), director of The Music Man (1990) and The Yeoman of the Guard (1993), graphic designer including the poster design for the original 1992 production of Broadway to the Max and even performer appearing as Sid Sirokin in The Pajama Game (1994). Kevin’s impact on the community is far more wide-spreading than just MTP, having worked with many other theatre companies including Arbitrary Angle, Fountainhead Theatre, London Community Players, the Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and the Grand Theatre High School Project. Kevin also was a secondary school teacher at Montcalm, inspiring and guiding many students and working on several school productions. Outside of theatre, Kevin was involved with the Karen Schuessler Singers for 9 years, the St. John the Evangelist church choir for over 40 years, founded the London Artists’ Studio Tour in 1992, and continues to work in his studio, exhibiting his artwork regularly.

Join us on Wednesday June 20 at the Wave, University Community Centre, Western Campus, for a special honouring of Kevin Bice, at the opening night performance of BROADWAY TO THE MAX! After the show, join us for a reception in his honour as well as that of the talented cast and crew of this hilarious dinner theatre event. Doors will open at 6:00pm, with dinner service at 6:30pm, followed by the show beginning at 8:00pm.
