Musical Theatre Productions invites you to join us under the sea with Ariel and all of her friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen fable and the classic animated film, this magical story of love and longing is sure to delight the young and the young at heart.
Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colourful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order to the kingdom beneath the ocean.
Disney’s The Little Mermaid will have audiences humming along to those memorable tunes from the Oscar-winning team of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman including “Kiss the Girl”, “Part of Your World” and “Under the Sea”. Disney’s The Little Mermaid runs February 17-26, 2017 at the McManus Studio Theatre – The Grand Theatre, with a special Family Day performance on Monday February 20, 2017.

Special Events
We are thrilled to announce that Chris Wood will be the next recipient of MTP’s annual Lifetime Membership honour. Each year, the MTP board selects one or two individuals whose support of MTP and contributions to the London community at large deserve recognition. Chris Wood is a familiar face to many in the theatre community and an even more familiar voice, having appeared in numerous shows and often being the actor who is called on to take a role when male performers are in short supply. In addition to his time on the stage, Chris has been active with MTP in other capacities including director, musician, production assistant, box office staff and more. Chris is also a former board member and treasurer for MTP having stepped down earlier this year from the board after one of the longest continuous spans of service the organization has seen. Chris has inspired and touched the lives of many in our community through his involvement with such organizations as London Musical Theatre, Pachecho Theatre, Fuse Productions, the Gilbert & Sullivan Society and the Original Kids Theatre Company. Join us on Thursday, February 23rd at the McManus Studio – The Grand Theatre for a special honouring of Chris Wood, at the evening performance of Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID. After the show, join us for a reception in his honour as well as that of the talented cast and crew of this magical production.
